Kinyarwanda is a rich and beautiful language. Anyone who has ever travelled to Rwanda will tell you what a difference it makes when a foreign visitor says even a few words in Kinyarwanda. Local people are proud and overjoyed that you made an effort to learn their culture and language.

At Rwanda Consulting, we believe that having basic local language and cultural communication skills is essential for visitors in order to fully benefit from their travel experiences. In an effort to facilitate this communication for travelers to Rwanda, we are offering the following virtual courses:

Basic Kinyarwanda for travelers

This course covers basic Kinyarwanda conversation skills for everyday use including greetings, dining, transportation, geography, business transactions, medical and emergencies, and social life.

Specialized Kinyarwanda lessons

This course is for individuals interested in acquiring Kinyarwanda lessons in their field of interest. The course is tailored to meet basic conversation in a specific field such as medical, education, art and culture, community development, business, etc…

Basic cultural course

Our basic cultural course provides travelers with knowledge about interacting with local people in a more appropriate and culturally sensitive manner. This course also allows travelers to avoid awkward moments that can derive from cultural misinterpretation. We recommend this course to individuals business or group travelers as well as those involved in research work.

Combo course Advanced Kinyarwanda Language and Culture 

This course is specifically recomended to the diaspora community and individuals interested in becoming fluent in Kinyarwanda
