About Rwanda Consulting
Making a difference
In founding Rwanda Consulting, I am hoping to fill gaps that exist in contemporary Social Studies and History subject lesson plans. I am also responding to a call from many teachers who expressed interest in teaching about the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis in Rwanda to Middle and High School students.
It is my hope that students who will be exposed to our curriculum materials will be inspired to stand up for those in need, and strive to make this world a better place for themselves and future generations.
Throughout my visits to schools around community events, I met some of these students and have, at many occasions, felt the transformation right in the room.
It is our hope that this curriculum will reach as many educators and students as possible, and inspire them to take actions against injustice and other Human Rights violations both at home and abroad.

Voices of Rwanda is an organization doing an incredible work in Rwanda. Its team provides a safe space where survivors can safely deposit their lifetime memories and wishes for the purpose of saving the history that could be otherwise lost forever. Most of them are the sole survivors in their families.
In the testimonies, survivors share memories from childhood and life course up untill the moment the recount the story. They speak about their families, friends and neighbors, the myths and fables inherited from the community, the humor and the loss and struggle to survive in the post genocide Rwanda. Its's an oral tradition practice that has been transmited from generation to generation.
What makes this work incredibly important is the relief it provides to survivors to know that someone cares about their life stories. They also want to leave a legacy for future generations to visit and learn about the 1994 genocide tragedy that wiped out their families.

Rwanda Consulting is a social enterprise company founded to provide education services to public and private institutions interested in incorporating studies on the 1994 Genocide Against Tutsis in Rwanda in Middle and High School Social Studies curriculum.
Our company offers services in Curriculum Development, Teacher Trainings and Workshops, Civic and Social Engagement programs, and Travel&Learn Tours to Rwanda.
Through our Speaker's Bureau and in collaboration with Voices of Rwanda, students and teachers are provided with live or videotaped testimonies of Genocide Survivors.
